Will Xbox change its policy of requiring Xbox Gold for f2p in Series X?

Hi, so this is kind of important for me as a gamer.

I recently sold my PS4 for money but it was fine since the next gen consoles are just around the corner.

I've always been a one-time payment purchase guy. That's capitalism. You hold the right to use something you paid for anyway you want. And that's what is lovely about PC. Now I know that consoles are not PC's. But consoles aren't CMS's like Wordpress or
ERM's like Salesforce either. If I paid $500 for the console, why do they hold my right to play multiplayer games on it?

It's bad on consoles, but it's worse on Xbox. PS4 let's you play f2p games without PS+ (which is a HUGE deal).

And that's what culminated my decision of buying a PS4 in the first place. My brother ended up playing a lot of Apex Legends.

But I refuse to pay Xbox Gold every month just so my brother could play his free games. THAT'S ****.

I won't have that problem on PS4, but I've always liked the look and feel of Microsoft. Plus I wanted to try the games of other side. Like Halo series and Forza Horizon.

Don't throw that server thing on me. Sony let's players play Apex Legends, Fortnite and whatnot, without having to pay any additional price. And that's what helped them grow twice as bigger a gamer community around them resulting in more developer interest,
more exclusive games, more console sales, and more profits whatsoever.

Even if me or my brother don't end up playing any multiplayer or f2p, the thought of having to pay for it disgusts me so much that I would either choose a Sony console or a PC.

Xbox CAN grow their gamer community and sales by making a revolutionary decision for gamers, and this will result in more studios developing for Xbox and more gamers switching to Xbox for their favorable multiplayer policies. They will end up paying millions
of dollars for Xbox game passes.

Sony had a head start, but Xbox had a fair chance with Xbox 360. They ruined it with their anti-gamer policies like DRM and forcing Kinect on everyone. Of course they went back on those decisions after huge backlashes from gamer community. But it probably
wasn't the backlash which forced them to change their decision, it was that this decision of theirs made PS4 the popular console of everyone's choice.

They can change this however. For once, do something good for gaming. Either remove the Gold requirement for multiplayer, or at least remove it from f2p games. If Sony can survive with this, so can Microsoft and Xbox.

I have good feelings about Microsoft this time. I use VS Code everyday, TypeScript is great. And Microsoft has made .Net open source. I think this is the time they revolutionize their gaming industry as well. Make it better for gamers.

If you can't make it a PC, don't make it worse. It's already hard to play without a mouse and keyboard. Don't throw these requirements on top. We're already compromising on exclusives. If you consider this change, we would consider not buying a Sony console
    this generation.

    :)

I've heard rumours that they might actually remove the gold requirement to play F2P games just like every other console/platform did.

HELP MON CODE 48 HEURE NE MARCHE PAS SUR FORTNITE

    Hey there ChanceOlive9197.

48-hour codes aren't full subscriptions and some games may require a full Gold subscription. Generally F2P games such as Fortnite require a full Xbox Live Gold subscription on order to play.
