Will Xbox 360 still be usable in 2026?

I would think that people learned from Y2K, if anything I would think that the software would have issues with the date if anything.

Surely if the clock '' expires'' this year the internet won't or can't '' override'' it?

Personally I'd rather play offline than risk having a bricked console.

Checking as you say will only set the current correct time.

Trying it next year would be another matter.

This might be a '' Y2K'' situation of much ado about nothing or something different entirely.

Others are of the opinion that just like a Windows 7 computer is still usable regardless though preferably offline the same applies in this instance.

My Windows 7 laptop still works fine.

Maybe my 360 will too.

i'm sorry but this is a question for engineering which no longer work on Xbox 360.

I would say it would likely be OK as it will source its time from the Internet, but that's really speculation. You can always set the clock ahead and see, at your own risk

Yes. The consoles will still be usable after the Series X is released (just like the 360 is still usable now so many years after the One was released). Game updates might slow down after a period of time as newer games are released.
