    Will Xbox 360 discs work on the Series X?


    Hello everyone, excuse me if I sound like I'm clueless but I have a simple question. I bought an Xbox Series X back in December and have been enjoying it quite a bit. I want to buy the Xbox 360 disc version of GTA IV the complete edition which includes the main game and both dlc episodes. Will my Series X read these old disc and download the game like normally? I know the regular version of GTA IV is on the Microsoft store to download for $20 but the disc are cheaper and I want the episodes too.

    It actually does. I got the Series X this holiday at $349, and the same disc is working perfectly. I have determined that the Xbox One X disc drive is trying to read Cross Gen discs differently than Xbox One discs. The disc drive on the Series X doesn’t have this issue. You might need a new disc or you might need to send your Series X for maintenance.

    Fight night round 4 isn't backwards compatible. I've got 360 disc and doesn't work on xbox series x. Fight night Champion is backwards compatible.

    The game is available on disc, so can be played on the Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

    NO! Unlike some games that have an Xbox One version that will upgrade to the the S|X version if you put it in a series X, NBA2K for S|X is a complete different version than the Xbox One version and it will not work if you put the disc inside of an Xbox One. Xbox One cannon run a Series X game and putting a Series X disc inside an X1 will not install the X1 version.
