Will Titanfall 2 Be A Timed Exclusive? Do You Even Care?

To each their own, but forming an opinion for a game that was in beta with most of the content cut away makes your opinion harder to take seriously, the gameplay was solid.

Titanfall versus Killzone

I believe titanfall is a timed exclusive. So do not be surprised if titanfall lands on the ps4 a year after its release.

TitanFall is still 5 months away and the resolution has yet to be announced. The only person who has stated the game to be 720p is a random NeoGaf forum user named CBoat who has been wrong countless times. He even said TitanFall was a timed Microsoft exclusive
which we all know how that turned out.

 

Dont really care was a online game only no real campaign ,just boring glad ps4 will get it.i say ms might try for time exclusive other then that let then enjoy it

 

Why wouldn't they use Microsoft's servers again?

They aren't limited to the Xbox One, as the 360 and PC version used the same back-end. There really isn't a reason why they couldn't be used for the game on Sony's consoles. Other than Microsoft wanting to restrict them of course.

 

Well you could say that for any EA game then? Why do we have to suffer on X1 with ea Servers for BF4? Because they will only set it up once and it will be on their servers if they have to include PS4. [tag:noparity]

 

Because EA doesn't own Respawn, they only published Titanfall. EA does however own Dice, therefore they can make them use its own servers.

Respawn are free to use which ever servers they please. If Microsoft are open to letting Titanfall 2 use their servers for the Sony versions of the game, then they can use them.

 

Titanfall is probably still my favorite game. If they lose the dedicated servers or go to E.A. servers I will have no interest in the second one.

I highly doubt they will go backwards and use EA servers. The whole reason the game was successful was because it was running on the power of MS cloud. Our servers here in AU for Titanfall were EA to start off with and the AI skipped around all over the
place. Playing on cloud with dedicated servers at low ping is what sells copies. It's about the only shooter I still play for multiplayer.

Of course they do but Respawn are independent. If EA didn't play ball then they could move, I can't see Ubisoft for example turning down a money maker like Titanfall 2.

 

Well Sony turned down the first one so a T2 is not a guaranteed anything in terms of success.Ubisoft has by far the worst online track record out of the big 3 from my experience.

 

^ Um no they didn't turn it down. It was always going first to Xbox but EA and MS struck a deal behind Respawns back to make it XB console exclusive, Vince Zampella has even gone on record saying as much.

Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup. EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently =(
