Will this monitor allow me to run 120Hz @1080 on the Series X?

Contrary to the above, it is not guaranteed to work. The monitor can be overclocked to 120Hz...however, that may be possible only over DisplayPort (some monitors limit to 100Hz over HDMI) and it's no guarantee the VESA timings exactly sit at 120Hz. I can't find a definitive answer

Your best bet would be to contact Lenovo and ask them:

An alternative may be to post in the lenovo Legion Gaming forums as they will likely have better knowledge of lenovo monitors than we do:

Hi there! This is Ronnie, an independent advisor.

Nice to meet you and I hope you are having a great day!

I understand you need help regarding Xbox resolution.

As far as having 120hz on 1080p, that is definitely possible as long as the monitor can go up to that resolution. Just make sure to use the HDMI cable that comes with the Xbox console.

You may review some guide here as well:

    Hope that helps!

Will this monitor allow me to run 120Hz @1080 on the Series S?

    Hi,

The User guide (which I can't find on Lenovo's website) and the price suggests to me that a high refresh rate on that monitor would be reserved for the Display Port which can only be used by a PC. Generally these cheaper monitors are cut back to the standard 60Hz refresh rate over HDMI.

I'll be honest, It's probably not going to work. A true gaming monitor costs at least twice as much as that monitor.

Will this monitor allow me to run 120Hz @1080 on the Series S?

got my son the MSI Optix G271 Full HD 27" IPS with 1ms response time, 2 hdmi that support 120 and 144hz and 1 display port that does 120 and 144. has freesync, states compatible with ps5 and xbox series consoles.

brilliant screen just the usual little light bleed as its ips but no issue.

i got it in sale for 160 pounds, they usually go on sale quite a lot too.
