I suppose it's more like Borderlands than COD. An RPG co-op like game with very large maps. In the Beta it's old Russia.

There is co-op in the name of fireteams but also it's like GTA online where it automatically connects you to players who are near where you are in the map.

There are crucible matches as well. Which you could say is more like Halo than COD. In the beta the crucible has domination mode(although it's not called domination, can't remember what it's called)

will this game blow on the One?

I am getting this game, and I am not even good at FPS games but bungie just did such a great job, that if I don't get this game, I will regret it

  5. I own both an XB1 and PS4 and I'll be getting this game on XB1 for the same reason I came back to XB1 on Battlefield.

On XB1 you can actually find team-mates who actually speak!

PS4 online, nobody talks. Fine if you want to lone wolf it surely but in squad or team based action I like my squaddies to communicate a bit. I've been told it's because on PS4 everyone goes all elite and only comms through party chat but I don't play to
be someone's longtime virtual friend. I'm quite happy to meet, co-operate and go our separate ways without the endless join requests following me.

In a 100+ odd hrs on BF4 on PS4 I could count on one hand the amount of times I got a verbal squad, switched back to XB1 and while there still is those who prefer to remain mute, you start talking 99% of the time someone talks back to you - crucial for
    a tanker/gunner for starters.

And in Destiny me thinks comms will be even more crucial.

  6. Well, the game is multiplatform and thus will not shine extensively on one platform over another. If it was next gen only, then the visuals could have been so much better. With that being said, the game does look pretty darn good. But the graphics will look
almost identical on PS4 and XB1. The only difference will be things like lighting. PS versions of games generally look darker and more saturated while XB versions look a little brighter and more clear.

The only reason someone should get a PS4 for Destiny is if they are so impatient that they can't wait a little while to play DLC or the little exclusive DLC excursions are going to drive them mad.

Personally, I was going to get a PS4 but then we got them at my office. After playing on the PS4 for about a month, I decided to go with the Xbox One. So I use both consoles pretty much every day but I very much prefer my XB1.

  7. The Destiny beta on Xbox One was running in 900p, but Bungie announced that it will run at 1080p on Xbox One by launch.

It will run at all the same spec requirements as PS4.

The only downside is the timed-exclusive content which PS4 gets earlier.

So, to answer your question, no. I think that it will be great, and have no differences. It will be equally good on PS4 and XB1.

I'm also sure it will be good on the older consoles. will this game blow on the One? :)

im getting it on the 360, the graphic were not so sharp, but I know for a fact it will be sharp enough for my liking when the game comes out. I like 1080p, but some of the best games with the best graphics are in 720p

I didn't really see any answers to questions about game comparisons, but yes this does have some similar gameplay to defiance (heavy influence here), also influences from phantasy star universe (your ghost and storytelling), borderlands (weapons/armor setup),
diablo (blacksmith) and of course Halo.

  10. There's just a bit of extra content on the PS4 that the Xbox will eventually get anyway, nothing to worry about.

  11. I tried the beta, and was blown away. Most excited I've been for a game in years. It looked and played fantastic. I don't get into all those comparisons between consoles. Bungie may have had a falling out with Microsoft on a corporate level, but they're
not stupid. They know that millions of One owners also played and loved Halo. Their success is due to a lot of One owners, and I think that once this thing hits the ground, they're going to make sure those fans get a solid experience.

To answer your question, no, it will not blow on the One. It will be a sublime experience that will make you recall why you play videogames in the first place.

Ya know I dont think it will necessarily "blow"...the fact that PS4 is getting all these exclusives though does "blow" on the other hand. I guarantee it will be a long playing game for everyone and I can't wait for it though.

Those green beacon missions are optional and in the beta only appeared on the exploration level.

You don't have to do them. That level is meant for free roaming and totally optional. You can do those beacon missions if you want or you can just explore and do whatever you want.

Personally I explored the outer areas of the map where the enemies were so tough at level 20 it was impossible to survive with the betas level cap.
