    will there be any more backwards compatible games added for series x?


    I will be getting a series x but will it be able to play games that are not on the backwards compatibility list? if not will there be more compatible games added? I have a 360 game that is not on the compatibility list and I want to be able to play it
    on the series x when I get it.

    Thank you for your post. I understand you are looking for more games to be added to the backward compatible list. At this time, work on backward compatible titles is pushed back for the release of the Xbox Series X. The current list of

    backward compatible games     are the only titles available until the Xbox Series X release.

    they have stopped adding games to backward compatibility until the Xbox Series X comes out.

    So far the only update is that backwards compatible games on series x/s will have enhancements. Nothing new about more xbox and xbox 360 games being added. Keep checking Major Nelson and Xbox Wire's sites for any news.

    Possibly after the Series X is released and they resume backwards/retro compatibility, and if there's demand for the game, they'll look at adding it.

    As my fellow ambassador mentioned, the backwards compatible team is not currently working on adding any additional games to backwards compatibility until after the launch of the Xbox Series X. That said, if you want these games to be added your best bet
    would be to reach out to the developer of the game and let them know your interest in making these games backwards compatible. The developers own the licenses for the games, and they have to grant Xbox the right to add them to the backwards compatibility program.
