Will there be a fully wireless surround sound headset for Xbox One?

As asked above, is there a known planned headset that is fully wireless, namely no cable from headset to console NOR to the controller puck/plug being developed? I have been unable to find a headset in the works that will be truly wireless. Also, almost
equally importantly, if there are some in the works are they true surround (5.1/7.1) or simulated surround sound?

I am interested in getting a superior headset and surround sound/simulated SS (basically NOT stereo) is most important, but I would also prefer it be truly wireless if possible. The Polk 4Shot looks promising ONLY IF they can fix the chat problem.

Need help choosing the right Headsets.

USB headsets won't work. Unless they are simply powered by USB and use optical for the sound.

If you want fully wireless, there are currently only 2 options, the Stealth 500X and the Elite 800X, both from Turtle beach. If you want surround sound, those two also provide that along with the ASTRO A40's with a Mixamp or the ASTRO A50's. Both the ASTRO's
will need to be tethered to the controller for chat.

There are then many options if you're not too fussed about having surround or wireless. Anything that includes some kind of Xbox One Stereo headset adapter will be fine. Anything with a stereo headset adapter will also allow you to chat as well as hear game
sounds. They have a control that balances between chat and game.

 

Why aren't any xbox one headsets surround sound?

I think everybody is waiting for a headset with surround sound, including me. It would also be nice if a wireless headset becomes available soon.

It seems that the A50s are more or less what I am describing except you plug into the controller to chat, is that correct? The puck that goes into the xbox does not have to be hardwired to the headset?

 

It has nothing to do with whether or not the headset companies can do it. It's more or less a question whether future controllers can have the ability to broadcast a radio signal for headsets to use. Unless they can build a small FM transmitter adapter
for the controller itself, but it would drain batteries like crazy and people would complain about it.

So from the sounds of it the best bet is a headset that has the desired sound specs that likely plugs into the xbox but then broadcasts to the headset (game/system sound wireless) but chat sound/chat capabilities is direct from the controller (headset adapter)?

If that is correct the A50s sound like the logical choice correct? Or is there another option?
