Will the Xbox Series X launch with the new Microsoft edge app?

As of right now Microsoft is not currently adding new games to backwards compatibility, possibly until the launch of Xbox Series X (not confirmed) but hopefully they'll start again soon.

I apologise for the unfortunate news.

It is a transition time between Xbox One S/X to the new Xbox one Series X, sooner or late people will move on and get the new console, but at least Xbox games will be playable on the series X and Xbox one for at least a year since the launch date, which
to me is great!

We really appreciate everyone's response to streaming F1TV on Microsoft Edge for Xbox Series X|S. As previously asked, based on the answer we have here, there is an issue specifically on the F1TV website, on Microsoft Edge, and on the device: Xbox Series X|S.

Isolating the issue based on your responses:

• Try other streaming sites if the issue persists on Microsoft Edge for Xbox console; we got a response that other streaming sites work fine.
  
• Try the same page (F1TV) on a different device: We got two responses that this page works fine on a different device.
  
• Use InPrivate Window: We received a response that still persists.
  
• The problem exists only this year; we received a reply that confirms it.
  

We may need to consider any updates that occur before the issue starts. If there is no Microsoft Edge or Xbox Series X|S update that can cause the issue, then this issue should also be reported to F1TV Support.

As we pass this along to the correct team who will further investigate this issue, we would ask everyone to take these two steps.

First, take a screenshot of the page in Microsoft Edge that displays the error message with the website visible.

Second, install the Xbox Report a Problem app from Microsoft Store on Xbox Series X|S and send feedback to Team Xbox. Kindly attach the screenshots you have taken beforehand and submit feedback to the team.

With the Xbox One X you'll be safe to wait well after launch to buy the new Series X.

They've already said that launch games like Halo Infinite will also be launched for Xbox One consoles.

I've had my Xbox One X for over a year. I plan to buy the Xbox Series X for my main television and then move my Xbox One X to my living room television as my secondary console.

sorry for the late replay. I was one of the few lucky ones receiving an Halo Infinitie Limited Edition Series X that arrived today I wanted to wait to dismiss any hardware issue. Long Story short, even the new Series X won't launch andy xBox 360 games!

I tried Perfekt Dark, Perfekt Dark Zero, Zuma, Mirrors Edge. All with the same behaviour I resetted then the Halo Edition like you told me, still the issue. At the first launch of the game, there was for a very short time "Game has to be prepared, takes 1 - 2 minutes" It was only 5 Seconds and then, boom same issue

I'm getting upset and the feeling I'm not allowed to play 360 games on my Series X
