Will the Xbox Rechargeable Battery pack + USB C cable product recharge with a Micro B USB...

Wanted to get a rechargable battery pack for my xbox one controller, the one currently being sold comes with a USB C cable and it says on the product page that it is compatible with “Xbox Wireless Controllers with a USB C port”.

I imagine that the battery pack would work fine with the older controller that uses a micro B USB port, and that the compatibility statement is just because it only comes with a USB C cable, just wanted to know if i could charge it fine in my older controller
with my own micro B USB cable before buying it.
