Will the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit be compatible with the Xbox Series X?

I am going to purchace the new Xbox Series X this holiday, and I was wondering if the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit that came with my Day One 2013 Xbox one. It would be really handy to have rechargable batteries with the new Xbox controller and not
have to spend more on what I already have. It would be handy if someone who had access to an Xbox Series X knew the answer.

Xbox One accessories and peripherals will be compatible with Xbox Series X. As to whether the rechargeable battery packs are compatible with an Xbox Series X controller, that has not yet been revealed at this time, to my knowledge. However, the new controller
will use USB-C for its charging port instead of the Play & Charge Kit's Micro-USB plug.

I don't about other retailers for Xbox Series X online orders but GAME there's no orders for the Series X that you can put an order down for as of yet,

I have the play and charge kit for the series X so there is no light on the wire.

You should be able to use it. It's a USB connection that is use to charge it and they have confirmed that the new Xbox Controller we need Batteries.

In short, you can't. Unlike Xbox One or Series X|S controllers, the 360 wireless controllers are always wireless. The Play & Charge kit simply charges the battery, it does not send data.

The only way to use an 360 wireless controller on a PC is via an Xbox 360 gaming receiver for Windows.
