While my primary focus was in regards to video games made directly as a result of a movie being released, there is nothing wrong with listing games that are "spin-offs" from a movie franchise. For example...

The Chronicles Of Riddick, Star Wars, and The Lord Of The Rings came out as a movie first before any of the games were released. Thus, it is okay to list their "spin-offs" too

I enjoyed playing both Saw games. The Green Lantern & Captain America weren't bad

I should mention, I bought all those games out of a $9.99 bargain bin. If I had paid full price, my opinion would be different.

Xbox one won't change a thing. As mentioned before, most movie based video games are usually slapped together to make a quick buck. It's the developers/studios that are the problem, not the hardware.

Most bad movie based games are released alongside the movie. They never really have the time or budget to make a great game. Aliens Isolation doesn't have that problem.

The best movie tie in game I played was Top Gun. But that was on NES. I would like to think this console generation would end the endless line of bad games. But I just don't see that happening. You just have to enjoy the game
for what it is.

Oh, and I forgot the various 007 games were pretty good for at least the single player. MP was only good on Goldeneye back in the day.
