Will the power of the Xbox One put an end to bad movie based video games?

The reason that I'm posting this here instead of the Community Chatter is because of the upcoming game "Alien Isolation". As the title says, do you think we're finally going to see an end to bad movie based video games?

It's not based on the avengers movie. There are far more marvel characters than just the Avengers. Also just for you it has Microsoft at the end of the video

 

Why no movie trailer for Silent Hill Revelation in Xbox Video movie trailers?

Why do you think the movie trailer for Silent Hill Revelation never showed up among the Xbox Video movie trailers? Xbox Video always has every trailer for all the new and upcoming releases, so I can't imagine why this one movie never appeared on there. Plus,
it's kinda strange that a video game based movie would be the one recent movie that doesn't show up on a video game console. Why do you suppose that is?

 

Look at Amazing Spider Man 2 for your answer. Bad tie-in games will always exist because move studios are just after a quick cash grab with the kiddies. Alien Isolation looks decent

The best movie based video game that I've ever play is "The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher's Bay" for the Original Xbox. I know that an Xbox 360 version was made with an expansion, but I didn't pick-it up.

I quite enjoyed The Lord of the Rings games too. They were pretty decent movie tie ins.

The best movie tie in game I played was Top Gun. But that was on NES. I would like to think this console generation would end the endless line of bad games. But I just don't see that happening. You just have to enjoy the game
for what it is.

Oh, and I forgot the various 007 games were pretty good for at least the single player. MP was only good on Goldeneye back in the day.

 

The best movie game I've played was...... Gremlins on the Commodore 64. One of the early Terminator game's was pretty good, can't remember for the life of me what I played it on though.

 

Oh yeah, I forgot about Golden Eye on the Nintendo 64.

 

Most bad movie based games are released alongside the movie. They never really have the time or budget to make a great game. Aliens Isolation doesn't have that problem.

 

I tend to like the LOTR games as well. But LoneStoneWolf said exactly what I was thinking. They always seem to rush movie based games. I kept giving the Harry Potter games a try but they were just the worst. Except for the LEGO ones. LEGO always seems to
have better games than the real movie tie in games.

 

Lei Fang, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay was 1 of the best FPS games I've ever played - it had the most realistic bullet holes I'd ever seen in a corpse.

 

Goldeneye...omg...that brings back so many memories.

That was such a good game....RARE....what happened to you? To answer your question OP.....no, it will not.

That said....I actually am enjoying the Transformers game that just came out.

 

Another great movie-based game I played that was based on not 1, but 2 movies, was
- now that was a bloody good time.
