    Will the new xb1 controller with new bumpers replace the old?


    Will the new controller included with the 1tb xb1 with the headphone jack and new bumpers (not the elite) be replacing the old original xb1 controller from launch? Will MS be discontinuing production of the old one? Will the new one be the standard one
    to buy when I buy a new xb1 controller anywhere from now on? Thanks.

    Anybody else going through controllers?

    My day One controller was problem free until a few months ago when I dropped it hard on one of the bumpers, my fault nothing to do with the controller. Replacement new controller was a sturdier build and was working perfectly. Had to replace console
    so got an Elite model with the Elite controller and I can confirm it is Elite.

    BOTH of my Xbox Ones are still doing fine. I've never replaced a controller even!

    Haha hope I haven't jinxed it. I think quite a few people have had to replace controllers especially with the quality of the earlier launch controllers. I replaced the sticks in the secondhand controller and ended up buying a new one with the 3.5mm jack
    in the end mainly for the improved bumpers.

    New 3.5mm jack controller is pointless!

    Old controller required the stereo headset adapter to work with my headset. ( was a friends stereo headset adapter) so I thought i'd buy the new type of controller so as to not also buy the stereo headset adapter.

    The new controller differences

    3.5mm jack which is pointless

    and the bumpers feel slightly different, but that just may be because i'm now used to worn bumpers on my old controller.

    XBOX ONE Controllers

    I had a old secondhand one with loose thumb sticks which I replaced but it recently started having battery charging issues.

    I had another with a dodgy right bumper guessing one of my nephews might of dropped it.

    I Recently bought the new one with the improved bumpers and headphone jack. The bumpers are a lot more responsive and are quite sensitive. Hopefully this one stays alive for a long time. So far I am happy with it.

    The new elite controller looks awesome but it isn't cheap at $200.00 Aud. I think I'll pass.

    xbox one elite controller

    I have my elite for a lot of time and with me the rubber grips went off with 1 year of use, last month was a broken bumper. I had to replace the bumpers of my old controller.

    Left bumper won't work on brand new controller.

    My left bumper on my Xbox 360 controller was messed up, I had to press it real hard for it to work, it was brand new. This happens sometimes, I got a replacement controller for 3 dollars at Wal-Mart.
