    Ngl, I’m pretty disappointed with Microsoft on dropping the ball with this headset. Mic monitoring is an important feature for headsets that are noise canceling (or at least this one is for me) and the fact that it’s been broken since pretty much the release of these headsets is infuriating

    As of right now, I have zero mic monitoring (even with setting on high), should I just return this headset within my return period?

    I don’t think a fix will be coming out soon

    I've contacted Microsoft Support on this. I'm hoping they update us all. Especially since TB just announced a new headset coming soon that's completely wireless AND has mic monitoring.

    Turn off Mic monitoring

    A few hours ago I had just bought a new Wireless Headset and I can hear myself talk. This can be fixed with Mic monitoring turned off but Microsoft removed it. I search my enture settings category and nothing with "Mic Monitoring" or any sliders showed up.
    I would like an answer as soon as possible. Thank You!
    The audio settings under "Profile & System" probably aren't showing up because you don't have your headset connected to your controller which means you can't access mic monitoring. Do you have any software delivered with your headset? Depending on your headset
    you should be able to turn it off with given software.

    I upgraded to their wireless headset over Christmas, and mic monitoring is working on that device.

    I am now assuming the wired mic monitoring has a limitation due to the lack of power or something similar.

    Anyways, wanted to share with everyone. If you want mic monitoring you can hear, upgrade to the wireless model!
