Will the Keep Games and Reset Console option remove my save data for games?

There is also the option to factory restore the Xbox to remove any corrupted data but be sure to select the option to keep your games and apps.

Yes, upon choosing this option all of your save data for games will be deleted immediately.

However, your
save data is automatically saved up to the cloud, so as long as you were connected to Xbox Live the last time you played any of your games, and closed them properly, upon launching the game under your profile you will sync your save data.

Reviewing the case, I recommend you do the following:

Do a console reset

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console information1.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset console? screen. you will see three options:

Reset and remove everything:

Reset and keep my games and apps:

Use this option as your primary choice for troubleshooting. Reset the OS and remove all potentially corrupted data without deleting your apps or games.

Cancel:

To exit this screen, simply select the Cancel button

You can try removing and readding your account. You will keep your games along with any save progress.

Also, you cant transfer data from one account to another.

The last resort is a reset. During this you can keep your games and apps along with save data too.

So you want me to choose "Reset and remove everything"? That does not delete my saved games?? If this is the only option then I'll suck it up but I want to be prepared to lose all my game progress. If I can keep just that I would be much happier.
