Will the Halo MC Collection Break Sales Records?

I certainly get your point, however November will takes us to 12 months post release for X1, with the deals they are offering, game range and reduced price of the console I reckon we will hit at least 8 Mil sold (X1s) by then. Also keep in mind most who
have already purchased an X1 are likely loyal MS fans, hence Halo Fans too. I think this collection has a chance to do very well, massive value in it, which will also give it long term sales strength, I can see this game being a first choice for many new X1
buyers in years to come.

I wasnt really that thrilled about it, I love fresh content, however I already know I will be buying it, It is going to be a great stroll down memory lane with all that multiplayer combined... wow.... just WOW!

 

Halo will easily sell XB1 consoles, no doubt about it. A lot of gamers are still on the 360, a good portion are Halo fans and won't pass up the collection by November. This will be the last holiday hurrah for last Gen, holiday 2016 will be bare bones for
360, except for the usual suspects, CoD, Fifa, Madden, maybe AC. A good portion of gamers wait a year before purchasing a brand new console, the lineup along with Halo will sway a lot of people.

 

Cujo: The price of the X1 console wasn't reduced. All that happened was the $500 w/Kinect was reduced to $400 without it. But if you bought one say, back in November you would have gotten a Kinext + a Game or perhaps even two for $450.

Thus a good part of the Xbox community is still looking for an actual price drop ON THE CONSOLE itself. If IMO- that happens then Halo will do well. With me being an exception. Why? Yet another IF which I want bore you with.

 

It will do well,it can easily reach 1 million copies sold (disc and digital).

 

Electroflying, I'm having trouble following your logic. No matter how you spin it, the console was reduced in price, period. It went from $500 to $400. Sure, the lower price ensures it doesn't come with Kinect, but why is that important. The lower price
on its own will still move consoles. Also, I think consoles WILL sell in order for people to get the new Halo MCC. That being said, I will admit that you're somewhat right - the more consoles that are already in the hands of people, the more games will obviously
sell as a result of that, but that's common sense. Can't play the game without the console, after all.

They had plenty of big deals around the launch of Titanfall too. Lets look at your prediction of sales:

1st 5.5 months of 2014 : 1.5M sold

2nd 5.5 months of 2014: 3.5M sold

Don't see it myself.

 

I think it will sell very well. New achievements and incentive to play through legendary? All they need to do is add a cutscene leading up to Halo 5 for when you complete all 4 on legendary imo. Like the ending cutscene you got in Halo 1 for completing on
legendary, that was just cool. Its got a sale from me, that's for sure.

 

The most recent VGChartz data has xbox one selling 52,180 in a week. At that rate, it wouldn't hit 8M sold in November 2014, as Cujo suggested, but in October 2015!

Please don't be mad / angry at me, but this MCC is one of the games on the Xbox One that interest me at the moment. The other games that have my attention are...

(1) Halo 5 Guardians

(2) Dragon Age 3 Inquisition

(3) Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition (I'm still on my 360, but interested none the less)

Not at all. III Cujo III expresed his prediction that x1 will have sold 8M by November. My opinion and prediction is that is unlikely. Just a discussion. No argument. No need to get personal.

No, on topic. Cujos prediction for Halo sales was made on the back of his prediction of x1 sales.

 

You know, I don't personally think this would break records BUT it's Halo, there is no doubting Halo's fan base is huge. I know a couple of people that have not bothered with the X1 and have gone elsewhere, since the MCC got announced they are talking about
swapping consoles and getting an X1. It's really got me wondering now, this game could easily tempt people to get an X1. I personally am not interested in the game but there is definitely a lot of excitement surrounding it.
