    Will the Asus TUF VG249Q1R work with 120hz on xbox series x


    So i bought a series x a week ago and realised that my 240hz pc monitor only supports it on display port. This was the one i found would be best option for me Asus TUF VF249Q1R and it does support 144hz on hdmi but its only hdmi 1.4 will it still work with the xbox series x given that xbox supports 2.1 hdmi?

    Hi, Oliver.

    Your Asus monitor, according to the manufacturer's website, has an HDMI 1.4 port, not an HDMI 2.1 port.

    You can still enable 120Hz, just make sure to select 1080p or 720p as the resolution on your Xbox.

    even in the manual it stated adaptive sync which is usually both, the reason they are showing with gsync is that its on the nvidia approved list, but apparently it has all.

    Xbox Series X - No 120HZ option on any resolution.

    I have same issue but with my Acer Nitro VG271 144Hz. Xbox series X won’t run at 120Hz 1080p. That must be problem with xbox series x because works perfect with Asus RX480 8GB (144Hz 1080p HDMI2.0). I am very dissapointed. 60hz is a joke.
