    Will purchasing a game code abroad work back at home?


    I am currently on vacation in France and might purchase an Xbox game code from Amazon France. Will this game code work if I redeem it back at home or not?

    Are game codes region locked?

    Note: Console is Series X

    Well I guess it could be maybe somethings handled differently post the new dash but, I haven't ever had that problem before and have purchased items and downloaded them abroad. I guess I wont know for sure until I get back home.

    That would have been ideal! Thing is I used a gift card to purchase it as I live abroad! I am not sure how that will work :(

    Edit: solved. I am abroad on holidays and tried to buy from here (outside UK) (still living in the UK though!).

    Solution: I VPN-ed to a server in the UK and purchased. It worked.
