Will PS3 Bluetooth Headset work with Xbox One?

So I have a old PS3 Bluetooth headset I never used and see the new Xbox controllers support bluetooth. Does anyone know how the bluetooth works on the new xbox? Ive read it is though the controller, so if I get a new controller that is bluetooth compat.
will I be able to connect any bluetooth device to it? I dont have the new S but looking at a new controller. Anyone have any exp with this?

Question about headsets (Not sure if this is the correct forum to inquire about accessories)

I was browsing on Amazon for headset for both PS3 and Xbox 360 headsets and I saw that Microsoft has a bluetooth headset. (Was unaware that the Xbox 360 supported Bluetooth).

My question: Can you use the PS3 bluetooth headset with a 360 and vice versa?

 

The Xbox One console doesn't support Bluetooth. That headset won't work with the Xbox One in any way.

The new Xbox One controllers (the ones that come with the Xbox One S) have Bluetooth, but that's only used to connect the controller to a Windows 10 PC through Bluetooth.

 

um the One S controller blue tooth works on the One as a controller it is not just for windows 10 gaming

 

"Theory of Game" is correct on the matter. Let my post add a little more clarification.

The latest Xbox One controllers (the white ones that come with the Xbox One S) have Bluetooth functionality, yes, but they still connect to the Xbox One console through the proprietary RF protocol as all Xbox One controllers do.

The Bluetooth functionality on the controller is only designed to interface with a Bluetooth-enabled Windows 10 PC, as Windows 10 already has a preinstalled driver (given by the Anniversary update). It's merely treated as a secondary feature if you happen
to have a gaming PC with Bluetooth, likely implemented in the first place to coincide with the "Play Anywhere" feature they recently released for certain Xbox One games.

Even as of now, there is no Bluetooth functionality whatsoever on the new Xbox One S console. Spec sheets and online disassemblies of the Xbox One S do not show a bluetooth chipset within. There are also no onscreen settings to connect a Bluetooth headset
to the controller. Any Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth device you may have is currently
incompatible with the Xbox One.

then how come I can use the One S controller when it is nowhere NEAR the One S or even facing it? It works even when a blanket is covering it or if I take it into the next room. I am pretty sure IR based controllers need a line of sight like remotes
for TV and other devices.

 

I said "RF" (radio frequency), not "IR" (infrared).
