Will own both consoles

Hey man, I am right with you. I bought the X1 at launch and the PS4 a few weeks back. I will say that I love them both but just like last gen, the Xbox is my main console for multi plats, multiplayer, and entertainment. The PS4 is there for exclusives that
I am big on such as Uncharted and God of Way.

Either way, both consoles are great!!! Back to Titanfall!!!

 

I give you props bstn, as you are truly detirmined. Xbox was down 2 nights ago for the first time in recent memory. PSN issues were bugging many users on the EU forums the day before that, and there was another outcry of "down" last night for lots of members.
So I'm sorry, but in no way is PSN a match for Xbox Live in terms of reliability. No way.

 

Fatalshock determined? I could care less about Microsoft or Sony I am about the games and just speak the truth you on the other hand have brand loyality as do many others on this forum and it clouds your vision.

I have had Xbox live for 6 years, 5 on this account and 1 on my new account and used PSN for 3 years I am very familiar with the issues on both PSN and Live.

At this point they are about the same. PSN with + is 10$ less and gives you free games and the reliability is fine it's not perfect and Live is not perfect.

 

My PS3 would argue your brand loyalty claim. Anyway, there is no way I could ever consider PSN and Xbox Live- about the same.

 

The fact that you have a PS3 sitting there full of dust has nothing to do with it, it's not like it was it's much improved the PSN of today is not what it once was.

The PSN features on PS4 at this point are the same as Live they have added the things people wanted.

Sorry you want PSN to suck but it works fine I use it just about every day.

 

Just because some may not own a PS personally doesn't mean they don't know how it functions. A lot of gamers have friends or family who own them and have experience with it.

When we say XBL set the bar, it's the truth and has nothing to do with brand loyalty.

9 years worth of using XBL to play with friends across hundreds of games with very very little issues is proof enough for me.

Yeah, PSN+ is a great value, its just a shame a massive online infrastructure failure caused by hackers had to cause it for Sony to regain face.

Competition is great tho, that's why both companies are pushing forward and vying for our attention/money.

 

Fair enough it's just people are stuck in the past yes PSN had problems but it was free so of course there where some issues but I still played my PS3 online and it was ok no it wasn't as good as Live but it was good enough and even had some features Live
didn't have.

The data breach thing is just a fact of life it can happen to any company these days.

It's 2014 let's move on PS3 works much better and PS4 has all the features people wanted so all is good. It's not a point of PSN sucks any more it's the same.

Yeah, my sig from November. I stand by it. I love Xbox, and I'm not ashamed to say that. However, I have had a few wonderful years with my PS3, and those years were hit with lag, inconvenience, annoying set up for messaging friends, and no parties. Now you
can point to my own connection for Lag, but when I'm on Xbox, using that same connection, it's superb.

Anyway, the statistics I'm referring to can be made up of any taken notes. In this case, my own experience. I've not been able to sign onto PSN 7 times in the last 3 years. Xbox Live was down for me for the first time since 2008. Those are FACTS based on
my own experience.

As I said, I don't want either service to suck, but I maintain that PSN is not as good as Xbox Live. It's got party systems now, and other goodies, but it's not as good. You disagree? Good for you, you are not going to change my stance, nor will I yours.
Let's end it there shall we?

@merlin4421 yea i dont want to miss out on anything either. For some reason i still rather play destiny and eso on ps4. But i do agree that if i buy my ps4 this week i wont be playing it for a while because i will be busy with titanfall

Fatalshock after owning both PS4 and X1 i have honestly encountered more problems with my xbox.. My first xbox was a defect out the box so i got a new one.. And the new updates have caused it to freeze as well as lag when i use twitch.

XBL was down for me all day on the release of their flag ship title titanfall which i love playing.

& when it comes to ps+ and XBL I don't see how xbl is superior i also wouldnt say ps+ is superior but right now one provides free games and the other one doesn't do the math.

I know some of u have friends and family who own the console but i owned both of them myself and that is MY experience.

& for the other guy icestorm? I disagree with all that pc stuff your saying im writing this from my phone so i cant go back and check exactly what you wrote but its two different ball parks dude .. I work on a PC all day .. Last thing i want to do is go
game on my PC.. I dont want to have to worry about a virus.. Updating my gfx card .. Playing on steam? Lol its just not my thing and most people who buy consoles sure pc gaming probably isn't their main thing either. I prefer console gaming and when im comparing
or talking about consoles im not including pc's it may ne a console to you but fact is its not a console.

 

That's great bro, but I was talking about the service itself, not the hardware. If you are enjoying PSN right now, power to you. Contrary to what most people seem to think when they read my posts, I'm not anti Playstation. I am pro Xbox, but I'm not anti-Playstation.
I intend to own one when it goes down a bit and gets some good games.
