    Will not connect to Xbox Live when playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One


    Until recently we have been able to connect to Xbox Live while playing 360 games on Xbox One. This has been useful for saving our progress on the Microsoft Cloud. A couple of weeks ago my 5 year old started his Lego Star Wars Complete on the Xbox One and
    it stated during the opening screen that we were "Disconnected from Xbox Live". This means that he can not load his progress and must start from scratch. We are still able to play COD and other Xbox One games Live but as soon as we put in the 360 game we get
    the same error message. All the current solutions appear to be designed for the 360 console but I need a solution for the 360 not connecting on the Xbox One console. Any thought? Thanks for your help.

    Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

    When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.

    HEELLPP!!!!! I am trying to connect to my xbox live while playing Lego Indiana Jones for the 360 one

    I have been trying to connect to xbox live while playing a 360 game on my one, as I mentioned above the game was Lego Indy for the 360. It says it can't connect to live but IM SIGNED INTO LIVE ON MY XBOX ONE PROFILE. Which is on the same console I'm trying
    to connect to 360 live on. T.T can't connect my behind. T.T Please Help Me!

    A little bit more information..,

    on Lego Star Wars the Xbox Live option on the menu is greyed out. When you try to Load a saved game, the message that "no gamer profile is active" even though we are logged in to an Xbox One account with live access. Thanks again.

    I found the problem and solution in another form. Sounds like a common problem these days. All credit for solution is to BindiRoy1974 - THANKS!:

    I GOT IT I GOT IT its now up and running,

    Try this

    #1 do a system restore , choose system restore keep games and apps. This will send you back to the very first time when you are setting up your console!

    #2 type in email address of profile you are using

    #3 put in your password

    # 4 just put in your time zone and other stuff like your setting up console then you will go to dash board try again with a 360 game. BAM it fired up gears of war 3

    Yes! When you're playing an Xbox 360 game via back-compat on Xbox One, you're connecting to the Xbox Live servers used by actual Xbox 360 consoles. So, as far as Live is concerned, you're using an Xbox 360. You can play games with your friends and earn
    any achievements just as if you were playing on an actual Xbox 360. Have fun!

    Xbox One S's 360 Emulator WON'T Connect to Live

    The games are all digitally owned in my library. There are no discs. I had no troubles with this on my original Xbox One that recently broke and required me to buy a new Xbox One S. The emulator I am referring to is the internal emulator that all Xbox
    Ones run when playing a 360 Backwards Compatible game. When I install a 360 game and try to run it on my Xbox One S, the game will load HOWEVER I cannot connect to Xbox Live while in the 360 emulator. Due to a recent troubleshooting that suggests uninstalling
    the game and clearing 360 cache and profiles, I would need to redownload my xbox live profile for the 360 emulator ON the One S. Since the emulator WON'T connect to Xbox Live, despite my Xbox One S BEING connected to Xbox Live, I cannot download my profile
    and therefore cannot play and save my progress. I've tried with multiple games but they all give me the same issue of being "unable to connect to xbox live". I've tried all of the Mass Effect games, the Dragon Age games, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games,
    Banjo-Kazooie, and Fable series of games and NONE of these will allow me to connect to xbox live.

    Backwards Compatible games currently not connecting to Xbox Live

    I'm having the same problem. When I went to play Left 4 Dead 2 about an hour ago, it said I had an update. Afterwards, when I went play it (on my xbox one), it says I'm not connected to xbox live. I am connected to xbox live on my xbox one, but the game
    - through backwards compatability (xbox 360) - says I'm not connected. Frustrated!
