Will next gen console have new controllers?

In other news, the next gen consoles will come with a controller.

Honestly, speaking from a business point of view. NO, MS will most likely NOT make the 360 controllers compatible with the next gen console.

The Wii U isnt really a next gen console. It is just a handheld version of the Wii. So it makes sense to make the Wii motes work on those. However, on the actual next gen console, Nintendo will most likely not make the old controllers compatible with the
new console.

That is speaking from a buisness point of view. Yo would essentially be cutting your accessory market by 20 percent right off the bat. Why buy new controllers when you can get others ones way cheaper used or even new?

Sequels sell.....having sequels so early for Next gen is to tempt and encourage series fans to buy next gen consoles to see the game series they like all "new and next gen".

There is a room for both long term series and new fresh IPs, but gamers trust what they know, and with next gen its that trust they need to take with them into Next Gen

I'd like a new Bad Company game too, but only if they tighten up and smooth out the controls and only on the next gen consoles.

@proneto911 I know 360 controllers have been modded to be played with PS3 consoles, I'm sure someone with adequate experience might be able to bring current gen controllers to the next gen. I just want the option to choose. If
I like the current controllers better, I don't want to be forced to use the new ones.
