Will New Controllers Need Updating?

Hey all,

I've got a brand new Titanfall controller on my way in time for Friday but I'm not sure if the firmware will need updating for the controller tweaks and headset adapter. Will anybody be able to confirm whether or not this will need the updates that all of
our older controllers have had?

I have two brand new controllers with my Xbone, I dont need a "new" one just yet.

 

Has the Stereo Headset Adapter been discontinued?

Yes. as new controllers include the 3.5mm port. no need to make an adapter no one needs anymore

 

I am 95% sure that the controller will need updating.

 

The controller doesnt update the firmware/drives do. As soon as you connect the controller it will have the current drivers on the console. You wont have to do a thing.

You will need to go through settings as you did with your other controllers.

Yes it will, I would imagine it would be a few months until new controllers come with the new firmware pre loaded.

 

I pre ordered mine from game and i got an email today saying they are preparing my order for shipping , but haven't shipped yet. Hopefully will get it on friday

 

I had that e-mail for both my game and controller but the website says shipped. I think that area is a little hazy but I'm guessing they've stopped despatch emails.
