Will my xbox one stereo headset work with my 360?

If i'm playing the 360 through the one's hdmi pass through?

The mic that came with the Xbox one works. My adapter chat button makes the game volume higher. Is it suppose to be like that?

a headset directly into the controller via 3.5mm jack, the Xbox will automatically makes Headset volume, Headset chat volume and Mic monitoring settings available right at the > Settings menu directly off the Home page/menu (kind of cool isn't it). Make sure
the Headset mic is set to On.
