will my vip reset jan?

i need only spend 95 more dollars to get the vip teir4 .... now im not going to have 95 dollars worth of stuff to buy before jan... possibly till feb... ive been at teir3 for a long time having it reset 3 times since resets have been randomly done .... not
the first time ive been in the 90s % ... please tell me im finaly .... finaly going to rank up ...

MY VIP Progress reset?

Hi Xbox Live Rewards,

My VIP Progress before December 31st 2016 was 1 Star and 91% Progress to level 2 Star. However after the New Year (I thought it was a glitch and have left it for a while thinking that it will go back to normal though it hasn't) has been reset back to only
a Level 1 star with 0% Progress to level 2 star.

Why has this occurred and what can I do to get it back to where it was? Also on this note I am wondering what the new changes for Xbox Live Rewards Members 2017 will contain. Is there any chance Pre Orders will count to VIP Rank as Pre Downloading the game
is always win for me.

MY VIP Progress reset?

The progress is what resets. You spend money this year, whatever rank you get to is your star rank for the following year. So you were 1 star last year (since you didn't make it to 2 star) and you will keep 1 star this year until you spend enough to earn
2 stars. However much money you spend this year will increase your star rank and you'll have that rank the following year.

That is how they've done it the last 2 years.

Ok thank you or that, The year before my rank got reset back to 0 from 2 stars as anything that was considered a pre order was removed and all my games were pre ordered. Thank you for clarifying that with me. I really hope pre orders count towards VIP Rank
as pre ordering now doesn't really make sense for me

If you spend enough to reach the next level before January 1, you will start next year at that level. Otherwise, your progress will reset on January 1.

it resets in september once jan another time then i duno when ... but after three 80-90 percent resets in a row id like to be grandfathered or rounded up for gods sake!!!! Thry hardly pay out anymore anyway ... not like there wont be some reason they don't
give me reward points anyway!! So on the occasion i do happen to "qualify" id like my increased % please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi playitagainsam2. Smwutches is correct. You'll remain a Star rank 3 come January unless you reach the next threshold by December 31.
