  1. Will my TV / Soundbar setup work with my Xbox One?

Hi! I am hoping to run the following items synonymously without any hick-ups. Will this work?

    1. Xbox One X (own)

    2. Sony 65” x750h TV (own)

    3. Sony s200f soundbar (last piece of the puzzle that I am debating on purchasing)

    4. PDP Talon Xbox One remote

For some odd reason, my Sony TV remote is not controlling my Xbox as intended. I have followed the “Device Control” steps and the Xbox supposedly says it recognizes the remote. But it still wasn’t working for some reason. So, to solve the problem I just
got the PDP Talon Xbox One remote and it was a quick and simple setup.

However, I really want to buy a soundbar that will work with my Xbox and TV but also hopefully respond to the new PDP remote. So, before I purchase the soundbar listed above, will this 4-device setup together harmoniously? I just want one remote to turn
on/off the tv, control my xbox, and hopefully control the soundbar’s volume. Thoughts? Suggestions?

    :)

Can I connect Xbox One directly to a sound bar?

I have a Vizio soundbar connected to my TV. I ran the Audio Receiver Setup on the Xbox One and now the X1 powers on/off the soundbar along with my entire TV/DVR system.

As for volume control, if you've ran the Audio Receiver Setup then you can control the Soundbar via either voice commands or the Xbox One Smartglass App (the volume controls on Smartglass will no longer control the TV volume, however, as they'll become dedicated
to the soundbar--I presume the same may be me true for voice commands).

Upgraded to Xbox One S now surround sound no longer works (0x80bd0009)

Thanks for getting back to me!

I have both my console and soundbar plugged into my TV. My Xbox One S is connected to HDMI 1 and my soundbar is connected to HDMI 2 (ARC). It's the recommended setup.

It's also the exact same setup as before with my old Xbox One.

Again, with this setup I am not able to get surround sound on the S, which didn't happen with the non-S.

    No digital via HDMI ARC

    Hi All,

I get Digital Audio via my Opitcal to Px4 headset, however using HDMI I can only get stereo?

    Setup is as follows.

Xbox One -> HDMI -> Samsung TV ARC -> HDMI -> Samsung Soundbar

Anyone have any tips on how to get this working? or should this work at all?

This doesn't look right to me (i could be wrong) Xbox One -> HDMI -> Samsung TV ARC -> HDMI -> Samsung Soundbar
    Should be....
Xbox One -> HDMI -> Samsung Soundbar (must be a ARC compatible soundbar with the correct HDMI sockets in/out) -> HDMI -> Samsung TV ARC / Headset optical -> Samsung Soundbar change setting on xbox

Xbox One X setup with Soundbar

Just wondering what's the best way to setup my xbox, TV & Soundbar.

At the minute my xbox one x is connected to LG TV via hdmi and the TV and Yamaha Soundbar via hdmi (arc). Just wondering if it'd be better to connect the xbox to the Soundbar instead of TV (and leave the TV Soundbar connection via Arc as is).

It doesn't do ATMOS but does do surround and DTS.

    Many thanks

    Jason
IMO this is already the best scenario possible.

The first thing you must know is that every device have an inevitable input lag, the game mode in modern TV help to reduce it by turning off some image enhancement.

If you connect the Xbox One to the Soundbar, you may risk to add input lag because you have another device that must elaborate and pass video to the tv that can elaborate the video too.

I'm using an Xbox One X directly connected to a Samsung Q9FN 55" and a 7.1 audio system connected to HDMI ARC, my audio/tv don't support Dolby Atmos, but all works fine.

    Dolby Atmos Samsung N950

I've tried multiple hookups. So xbox to my TV and and soundbar to TV via arc is what I have.I also tried xbox to the soundbar direct but it doesn't seem to work at all when I do that. I've played around with the sync settings on both my TV and soundbar.
If it's an arc issue is that because of the TV itself or the technology?
