Will my save carry over if I buy the physical game?

Yes. whenever you sign in to the Xbox network, your game data gets saved online. That means, whenever you next play the game—if you buy it, if you play it at someone else's house, or if you come back to Game Pass you'll be able to pick up right where you left off. Your save data will carry over as long as you are using the same account you played on earlier. Your data will carry over for both digital (from the Xbox/Microsoft Store) and physical version (disc from anywhere) of the game.

Only the season pass carries over...

If you buy any individual DLC for the game, it will not carrie over.

So you should really buy that season pass if you want all maps on both console, saves you quite a bit

And I think you need to buy the season pass before 31th of May, to get it on both consoles.

Achievements carry over. But some story mode games saves don't carry over unless you have them stored in the cloud or have external HDD and save then take it to XBOX1. Not sure if flash drives work yet for XBOX1? I know my GTA5 story mode didn't carry
over only online rank and achievements. Story mode I started over. If I had a cloud save then it would of worked.

What's the incentive to buy an 8 month old game again apart from the graphics looking a little better? I've played the game and completed it. Didn't like the multiplayer at all and moved on.

If I buy the new version, my saves carry over from the 360, so i'm loading up an already completed game!
