Will Microsoft send pre order notices to the Xbox community?

When I pre-ordered the XBOX One X, I received an email for my preorder

In what way? You get a email when money is taken from a card/account on a pre-ordered game around 10-14 days before release. In addition, when you place the order you will receive a email confirming purchase.

Normally you will also get a message through Xbox Live just before saying they will be taking payment.

Hey there! What exactly are you talking about in terms of pre-order? If you pre-order something through the Microsoft Store, like a game or a console etc, you'll get an email about your proof of purchase. Like most retailers, you could probably expect some
sort of update on when it will be available... if you didn't pay the pre-order in full/chose to pay in installments, but I believe most purchases through the MS Store require full purchases (though it has been a while since I've pre-ordered something through
those means so I could be slightly wrong.)
