    My xbox is still functioning, I was wondering if Microsoft repair would replace the damaged case if I sent it in?

    Xbox Won't Read Certain Game Discs

    Some DVD drives can not read Microsoft signed disks. Even if it is a Xbox product, it's reader may be damaged or dirty. In the end game you should never open your console, or repair/replace any components inside the console by yourself it should be left
    to the professional technicians at Microsoft.

    Well based on what you have said I'm afraid it sounds very likely that the Ethernet port of the Xbox is damaged and now faulty you will either have to replace the Xbox or arrange a repair:-

    If you think that something's wrong with your console the best option is start a repair / replacement order.

    Depending on the damage your console can be replaced. If that's the case you can verify that checking the serial number at the back of the console

    In any case the Warranty center is going to let you know if the console was replaced or repaired

    The artifacts are from your GPU being damaged. The GPU itself is damaged, and it cannot be repaired or replaced. The entire motherboard needs to be replaced, so repair shops are out of the question. Microsoft can give you a refurbished console once you send
    it in, so there's no need to really know what or why. :)

    My son damaged XBox port. Is that covered under warranty and if not how much to replace?
    No. Unfortunately physical/accidental damage would not be covered by the normal limited warranty that comes with the console.

    If you had purchased the Microsoft complete warranty (which does cover physical/accidental damage) then the repair would be free but otherwise something like that would be a paid repair.
