    Will Microsoft ever team up with Facebook for VR?


    I remember when Phil Spencer introduced the XB1X back at an E3 event, he said there was hope for Oculus Rift coming to the XB1X. Then silence. If i recall correctly, Phil Spencer recently said they had no immediate plans for VR on the XBSX. Does anybody
    know whats the hang up? I mean Facebook, who own Oculus brand, and Microsoft already has some type of partnership with facebooks gaming department. I'm gonna be honest, i had some grievance over the fact that i had to wait till Dec 23 on my on my day one XBSX
    from the Microsoft store. Then i heard about Oculus Quest 2 and how its a standalone system with some decent games like Population One and Walking Dead Saints and Sinners. Thus I cancelled my order for the XBSX and opted to try something new. I just received
    my Oculus Quest 2 today and my jaw has dropped to the floor on how amazing it is inside VR. I was expecting VR to be close to 3D but i didnt expect it to feel absolutely like real life in terms of scale and field of depth. It absolutely better then just simply
    3D. It feels like you're actually there. It dang near makes Ready Players One seem more believable in a sense of how masses could turn to VR in a dispoa type of world, even more so with the current pandemic we are in. Being lock up in the house keeping myself
    busy on a 2D screen is ok, but you put on that headset and you really feel like your in a new body and teleported out of your house into a new world. No joke for thise who havent tried it. Now, heres my dilemma, all my games are invested into Xbox eco system.
    Ive got around 500 games on in my library. The only issue with the Oculus Quest 2 stand alone is that it cant play the higher quality games like No Mans Sky, Elite Dangerous and the new Starwars Squadrons. If Xbox would make the Oculus Quest 2 headsets compatible
    with the Xbox hardware like it is with the PCVR that would be an amazing value to Xbox players. With the Oculus Quest 2 it is the cheapest entry poing to VR yet. Today was my first time ever experiencing VR. I know its been around awhile but now its on the
    verge of going main stream and more people are getting it. The market is there. Its not some silly gimmick like the Kinect. Once people try a Battle Royal in VR or an open world game in a survival horror game and soon to come a new splinter cell and assassins
    creed in VR people who never experienced this will eat it up once they do. Microsoft cant let this pass them by. And for dedicated Xbox players like myself it would bring more value to me as a player then simply having gamepass. Please Microsoft, take another
    look at this subject again.

    I really do think that 2020 is going to be the year for VR. Look at what Sony and even Facebook are doing with VR?

    I'm pretty sure Microsoft will follow suit :)

    Xbox + Oculus = Pointless?

    What i like about this though is Microsoft has Hololens. facebook owner owns this VR headset so Microsoft aint really losing money and in a way its the same as sonys VR headset

    WE WANT A VR FOR XBOX (upvote so Microsoft can see)

    Ever since ps4 has gotten VR I could not keep thinking about it, WHEN DO WE GET VR. It has been many years and we still haven't got it, people are starting to get impatient. You have the money, you have the technology and you have the community
    that wants it. I really have been wanting to play xbox VR games for a long time but we don't have any, maybe a VR racing game, like they have on the playstation, a VR gun game? Horror game? any game, we just want VR. Maybe you guys don't need your own VR headset.
    Maybe you guys can just team up with facebook and make the Oculus Rift compatible with xbox, all your need to do then is just create VR games. There are so many games on the xbox market, that has the potential to have VR on xbox, Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa,
    etc. So c'mon guys, make a VR please.
    Please don’t scream in caps on your subject, people may not respond. Xbox currently does not have a feature in VR, but moaning ain’t gonna help in this situation. Please take this to xbox support, if you want a release date, if there ever is one.

    Nothing has changed if you liked xbox in the past with out vR then that is still the case so microsoft not doing VR shouldnt make any differnce too you. However that said just because there not doing anything for VR right now doesnyt mean that they wont
    in the furtre. I cant see xbox ever making a VR headset but what i can see is a xbox app on other VR headsets that will let you plkay your xbox games some with VR patches.

    With Valve, Sony, Facebook, Samsung, Google, etc. wanting VR, Plus, with the Oculus quest selling out for the holidays? I guess you could say im in the minority?

    Microsoft is the only one not working on VR, II would have to say they are the minority. I want Xbox to succeed and solve some of the lingering minor VR problems. But with them not working on it at all, is a huge mistake.

    Augmented reality has a long way to go and MS is working on that, while VR is widely available and getting better all the time.

    So respectfully, i disagree and see MS and Xbox making a huge mistake, and it bums me out.
