Will Microsoft ever release drivers for Xbone controller on PC?

Read the link and I'm not sure the owner of a PC manufacturer is going to be an unbiased source in this.

I don't deny that you are played against Dreamcast players, it is just as I stated I never heard of that happening. Plus again as I stated the Dreamcast only had a single analogue stick, which would severely cramp movement.

Also as I said, I agree that the keyboard and mouse provides greater accuracy. Yet analogue sticks provide a great smoothness of motion compared to WASD.

Playing an FPS with a controller isn't silly if that is how the person wants to play.

 

Regarding the best control method, I say it's just what people are use to.

Many moons back I played loads of different FPS with mouse and keyboard. I then moved away from PC gaming and onto consoles, at first I thought I'd never get use to a pad, these days thought it's the opposite, if I try and play using mouse/keyboard, I just
want to go back to the pad lol

 

vote bud, I can say whole heartedly that even though the Dreamcast only had one analogue, I moved to that from the N64 and thought the pad was lush. It did cramp movement though like you say. I couldn't hit the right feel of play (does that make sense?)
when using a mouse and keyboard. I think a lifetime of consoles tainted my ability lol!

 

You do get into the habit of using one or the other.

I can't play the Mass Effect games on my consoles any more because of the advantages the keyboard and mouse give. Plus I like this mod

Yet at the same time I can't play the Arkham games with a keyboard and mouse.

 

I too now like that mod that's a sexy mod right there!

Glad its not just a few this happens to though, I get worried sometimes that my motor reflexes are getting messed up as time goes on lol.

With that aside, when I get that PC at Xmas I will give it another go but I would probably suck just as much. I cant get the cursor in the right place fast enough, but then I do have nervous hands as it is so that may explain why lol. By nervous hands I
have slight trembles sometimes when I keep my hand still. Irritating!

Good news for when I get a fair PC at Xmas. It'l be pretty nice to use the X1 pad on it.

 

I need to try the X1 pad at some point to see which is better for halo 2. Its a shame they are closing the servers cos I had games like halo2, gears of war, fallout 3. Resident evil 5, now im going to lose them all and not be able to get the achievements.
