I was able to download my computer profile to my console.

I would still like to know if there's some way to delete the old Xbox live account without deleting my Microsoft account.

My account isn’t deleted its still there i’m just not able to access it. Im still able to play games on my account on my Xbox, but if I were ever to be locked out of the account I wouldn’t be able to get back in because the email doesn’t work anymore, so i’m wondering if theres a way to change the email without being able to access the account?

You mentioned before that the account was never connected to a Microsoft account, those where only Xbox classic accounts on 2003/2004 on Xbox 360 all the accounts had a Microsoft account linked to be a ble to use Xbox live, otherwise the account will be a local only account, this accounts can't be recovered as never where connected to Xboo live and you will need the original device used with the account to linked to a Microsoft account

But if your friends has that account added then it has a Microsoft account linked and to be able to recover access you need the email linked(even if the email it's not from Microsoft /hotmail/outlook still it's a Microsoft account) and the password, but if the email was already deleted means that this account its not available for recovery after 1 year of its deletion, the account will remain as your friend friends but that's only like a contact on your phone, even if the number doesn't exist you still will be able to see it

My Xbox 360 device is not permanently banned, I can still access the internet and Xbox live with my second account on the console, so that’s not my issue. My issue is that I cannot add/download my old, very first Xbox live profile/account to my Xbox 360 because the ACCOUNT is permanently banned, not the console. And again, this is not a password issue. I still have full access to the associated Microsoft account and still use it very frequently, I just want to be able to download my profile and access my old game saves OFFLINE, but I can’t because it stops the profile from downloading because it’s banned
