    Will I own both versions of Minecraft?


    I’m thinking of canceling my gamepass ultimate subscription because I only use it to play Minecraft Java. Back then, both versions of Minecraft were sold separately and I was given Minecraft Bedrock on console for free when it was released. I own a PC now and since both versions of the game are sold together now, does that mean if I just owned Bedrock in the past do I now also own Java? Or will I need to buy it.

    If you have bought Minecraft before, you’re now getting the other edition for free.

    Note: If you still only have a Mojang account and have not yet migrated to a Microsoft account, you will have to migrate to a Microsoft account before you can redeem your new game.

    Kimmy I have an account on my dad's phone and Minecraft takes me to the Demo Minecraft. When I have the account on my dad's phone how do I get my account back? Plus it is hard to contact anyone as there is no customer service human only an AI bot.

    If you purchased the game that includes both Java and Bedrock Editions, you should have access to those two versions. Please go to your account order history https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/ and confirm your game order details if it does include both versions.

    If it's the correct version, be sure to sign in the same account you used to purchase the game from your Microsoft Store and Xbox app. Your account should match on both apps.
