Will I loose my free trial if I buy Gold?

My free trial says I have gold up until the 29th of this month. But my family wants to buy Overwatch like right now. Since it requires a gold sub to play they want to purchase a gold subscription scratch-off microsoft live card while they are in town also
buying the gold scatch-off game card (because they are going to buy download not a disc). Just easier for them to buy both cards at the store all at once. But should I wait to apply the gold sub card until after my free trial has expired? Or will it tack
on to the end of the free gold trial?

One Month Free Trial

Hello, I currently have a one free month trial subscription to live gold. If I do a full one year payment to continue service, will I loose the balance of the free month? Thanks

 

I'm unable to get the Game Pass for $1

I saw the Game Pass was $1 for the month on my XBox and decided to get it. However, I also had an option to get the free trial for 2 weeks. I decided to do that first, then buy the month for $1. However, once I activated the free trial, the $1 deal was
gone.

I was unaware you couldn't stack them Can you not? If so, can you reverse my free trial and allow me to buy the month for $1?

Redeeming a Gold card will overwrite an existing trial membership thus removing it.
