Will I get banned for this?

Earlier today, I was playing NCAA Football 14 online for my first time. I tried to find a game but couldn't, so I created my own. I don't have the greatest Internet but I thought I would be able to host. About 5 minutes into the game I noticed I was moderatly
lagging, and the other player was too (he sent me a rude message saying he was). He either lagged out or just quit, because it told me I lost connection to my opponent. It then proceeded to tell me I was awarded with the win. After that, the other player sent
me that he had filed 10 complaints for tampering and I was going to be suspended for it. Is this true? Should I be worried?

Pfft, modding doesnt ruin the gaming community. If a person is playing a single player game whats teh harm in having modded saved games? nothing.

If they are moddingto cheat in multiplayergames, thats a different story.

Complaints only take effect when they're accurate. That, plus filing several complaints does not accelerate the banning process opposed to filing just one. It reduces his credibility and his future complaints are more likely to be ignored. As having a bad
connection is not against the code of conduct/terms of use, you have nothing to worry about.

Having said that, be considerate when filing complaints on others yourself. Excessive rudeness is fine to report, but anything else is best to just ignore instead.

Yeah the above are correct. If you have done nothing wrong then you have nothing to be worried about. It doesn't matter if there are 200 complaints filed, they will all go in as one single complaint. Disregard his messages and carry on and enjoy your gaming

I wouldn't be too worried about it. MS does a pretty pathetic job of policing their network when it comes to actual cheaters anyway and they're not going to ban someone for having a crappy internet connection.

Lagging happens for everyone who games online. I've won and lost in online games because of lagging, it's just part of how things are. One day we'll get faster internet, I hope.

Modding is against Xbox Code of Conduct/Terms of Use. You risk being banned for being in a lobby where someone is modding a game.

1. If you immediately leave the game, then no you won't get banned.

2. Yes you can get banned for using a rapid fire controller.

If you are using a proper xbox 360 HDD, which comes in either 250 GB or 320 GB, then no, you are fine. The 4 GB is just a starter unit with a port behind the panel on the right end for one of those HDs.

If you take an older model 360s HD, and modify it to fit, that is illegal.

If you take a non official xbox/MS HD, even if it's shaped right, it may not be illegal, but it's not recommended and MS is not liable for any problems caused by it's use.

In my opinion, this does not sound like a ban. It sounds like an error or a glitch in either 343i' servers or something else related. However, I cannot be for sure. So I will give you this advice... check Halo related forums including HaloWaypoint to see
if anything has happened like this and if anything can be done. As long as you have not violated the Code of Conduct for Xbox Live, you will not be banned. Also, remember that many multiplayer games have their own Codes of Conduct as well as moderators and
tech support.
