    Not sure I made a bad choice coming back to Microsoft for my gaming experience.

    Welcome back. There is no obligation to have a Gold account and you will not be banned for only being silver member.

    Offcourse it is allowed to play single player games with a xbox sliver membership. As long as u don't cheat online or mod the game software or use trash talk/messages, you will be safe and won't get banned!

    No you will be perfectly fine playing any game with a silver account. Even if the game is multiplayer you’ll be fine playing anything locally. You just wouldn’t be able to play games online without a gold membership.

    No of course not, you only need gold if you plan to play online. Go ahead and enjoy single-player games.
