Will I be able to play as soon as midnight hits in my timezone?

I want to pre download it but I am worried that I will not be able to begin playing right at midnight. I remember reading that with Destiny people would not be able to play until 12:01 am pacific time if they preloaded it. I live in south Texas (central
time) so does that mean I would have to wait another two hours? Was that true or is it 12:01 your time? Right now in the description of H2A on the xbox dashboard it says the game will not be playable until 12:01 AM EST. So does anyone know what time from experience
or anything?

I will be on as soon as I get it installed. Hope to be able to dl it @ midnight on the 11th.

 

Wolfenstein: The New Order

My copy is really teasing me. I took my copy home yesterday, but I can't play it. I'm not allowed to break street dates, since I work at Gamestop. I do have it already installed though. I'm launching it as soon as it hits midnight on Tuesday.

 

The game will be unlocked at 12:01 AM EST for all of US. So you would actually get to play it at 11 PM Central. Plus, if you pre-download, it will also download the 20GB update (stuff they couldn't fit on the disc) once it's available, whereas if you go
to a midnight launch to get a disc, you would still have to wait for the 20GB to download before you could play anyway.

 

An hour earlier? That sounds too good to be true! I hope that's the case. I'll definitely go and begin the pre load.

 

Plus the disk installation as well as going to the store waiting in line then going home. If you pre-order it now off of Xbox Live it'll download the game now so you just have sit and wait.

 

you can play campaign, yes. the MP portion of the game still has to be downloaded in the 20GB patch, unfortunately. good thing I'm already scheduled to take two days off from work...

 

343 stated those of us who have pre ordered it digitally will be able to do the 20GB patch a few days ahead.

 

If it unlocks at 12:01 ET, wouldn't people in other time zones 'break the street date' since they'll be playing it on the 10th?

It's in the second quote box. You just have to make sure you're Xbox is set to instant on and automatic updates are enabled. Mine isn't usually set to instant on, but I'm going to change it the week before release just to make sure I get the patch preloaded.
