Will I be able to play all older titles on Xbox Series S?

As long as the titles are part
backwards compatible catalogue, you should have on problem playing these games on your current Xbox One or the next-gen Xbox consoles.

Yes, Series X users will be able play Xbox One S and Xbox X players online. You'll also be able to play the same BC 360 titles online the Xbox One plays.

The only games not supported will be the Kinect titles.

That is correct. As long as it is an Xbox One title, or a
Xbox Play Anywhere title, you will be able to play this game on either the Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X.

Awh that's a shame really. I have a ps5 currently so I'm so used to native or close to native 4k. I want to get a Series S to play Horizon 5 and have access to older games/indie titles. I don't think it's worth spending the money on a Series X yet for all I'll use it for. From what you're saying then the old games will be fine but newer harder to run titles may suffer from blur? Would you still recommend Series S regardless? Thanks

Original Xbox and Xbox 360 BC for both Xbox One and Series X|S consoles has been suspended. There are no current plans to release any more older titles to these platforms.

The Series X|S consoles are fully BC with all Xbox One games (with the exception of Kinect titles) and all of the original Xbox and 360 tiles that were made BC for Xbox One. That's over 2,000 games.

The BC team are currently working on FPS boost for the Series X|S consoles. FPS boost takes certain Xbox One games that were locked at 30 or 60 fps and upping the frame rate to 60 fps (for 30 fps titles) and up to 120 fps for 60 fps games.
