    Will Halo MCC be a Digital Download?


    I'd prefer to go all digital on my games (I'd rip the game to my XB1 as soon as I got it anyway), but I want to make sure that it will be available as a Digital Download (if not through pre-order, then at least day of) so that i don't get left high and dry
    without a pre-order and empty shelves on Nov 11.

    Can anyone from XBOX/MS confirm that it will be a digital download?

    And if so, will any of the pre-order skulls being offered from Best Buy/Amazon/Game Stop be available to us as well?

    Yes @Lofty - I didn't realise that when I bought my 2nd X1 (with Destiny bundle) from Game, it also came with Halo MCC pre-order. Got an email from Game confirming shipping.

    I've already pre-ordered (and downloaded) digital Halo MCC - Doh!!!

    Oh, hang on....TWO Xbox Ones and TWO copies of Halo MCC....I AM GOING TO BE IN HEAVEN FOLKS!!!

    (Sorry I will calm down eventually, note to self - too much coffee!!!)

    I would assume it would also be digital. It won't probably have the preorder bonuses. Being they don't do preorder on digital copies, as far as I know. Only thing you would get is a Microsoft bonus, you would not get any of the retail store bonuses.

    Phil said that was something they are working on. Digital preorder and preloading. Not sure if it'll be by the release date though.

    There may not be a digital issue for TMCC at the time of launch. I would suggest getting it on disc, that way you have a collectors item.

    For this game,preorder bonuses are exclusive to some retailers.

    As far as i know (i buy only digital),all games are available on XBL (Xbox one),as digital download the day of its release...

    Gamestop does pre-orders on digital downloads. I just recently pre-ordered Destiny as a digital download, so I'm sure they would do it for MCC. I think they just email you the code.

    digital downloads, yes. but no preloading the games, which sucks, since i'd like to be able to play it at midnight when it releases....

    I can't see why it wouldn't be on the Marketplace Question is: when will it be? Directly at Midnight? Not sure. It'd also be a huge download, which I'm wondering how big exactly.

    Now,i think it's easy to say that Halo Master Chief collection will be available in digital.

    And we will be able to pre order/pre download it.

    SW Battlefront is a disc. Borderlands, Peggle, and Halo: MCC are digital (Borderlands is a disc, but because it's X360 backward compatible, it's a digital download with the disc as "proof of ownership").

    I am also having this issue, I can't play my EA UFC or Halo MCC digital downloads. I would have never bought these games digitally if I knew this could happen
