Will Halo 2 and Halo 3 have the ranking system?

Just wondering if Halo 2 and Halo 3 will have the Ranking System in them?

Just wondering if Halo 5 will have a ranking system just like Halo 2 and Halo 3? Like 1 through 50.

If Halo 4 don't have the same ranking system as Halo 3. It's MP will pretty much be a failure in my eyes... Halo 3's ranking system was beast.

 

Going to have a ranking system yes but not exactly like it was back in the day.

In an interview with IGN, 343 Stated that "If you like Halo 2's ranking system, You will love this new one."

 

Yes but a 'unified' ranking system for all 4 Halo MPs. Which means say goodbye to your hard earned armor because it's confirmed to start from rank 1.

 

I thought they said Halo 2 was going to have the same Ranking system as it did when it shipped. And each 4 Halo games would have different ranks.

 

The Master Chief Collection is going to have a ranking system based on skill, xp (like Halo 2 and Halo 3 as opposed to Reach and Halo 4). The exact details are not available yet but it has been implied that there will be a single ranking system across all
4 games. Hopefully there will be a separate k/d counter for each game, but that has not been confirmed or denied yet.

 

Ahh man WHAT?! A rank system like 2 and 3? So basically we're going back to that nonsense 1-650 crap? UGH! SO hated that system. Though I have to wonder, somewhere i read they would be resetting all ranks, armor, commendations
and stats, including the original games. Does this mean regardless if you still chose to play the Xbox 360 version Halo games, (since Halo 2's mp is shut down on XBox Live for Xbox) like the website stats are getting reset as well?? This kinda bums in a
way because then what do they do about purchased items, like stuff we paid for upon reservation? If this is truly the case I'm going to be really disappointed and simply won't play until Halo 5 if I can't even at least enjoy reach or 4 without my
stats reset on XBox 360, and still struggling to myself myself a decent game. (Already have TitanFall which is just over-hyped and halfly not even worth the time, and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, which i just flat out suck at and can't seem
to get on track in knowing how to use each thing) Otherwise, I might possibly have to go Destiny, which even urks me that we have to wait a whole year to access their exclusive content PlayStation 4 gets. I mean seriously, how the heck can 343 Industries
do this to us?? 1st Bungie with Activision, now this!

You're in the minority. Reach and 4 couldn't really be called rank. It was more like xp points. I hope it's as popular as 2 and 3 was. More people means more specific playlists.

 

I can work with this.... I loved halo 2 and didn't give a damn about the ranks. I just played the social games anyway. Got super tired of running into all the jerks on the games anyway. took themselves way too seriously in the ranked lists. Good riddance

 

This is precisely why i hated ranks, though I never played social all that much. AgainIi just hope ranks effect XBox 360 titles aren't getting reset too, or I'm just going to be ticked. Somehow I honestly don't see myself playing
this all that much and wait until halo 5: Guardians. Though then again Destiny comes into question whether to play on XBox one or playStation 4 due to the 1 year wait on exclusive content. There's just no win, here, I'll end up bored a whole 2nd year because
honestly TitanFal lis an overhyped letdown down, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warefare is ok here and there but too easy to lose interest since I suck at it, and honestly I'm not hearing much good from Destiny's beta anyway, and I know its differences, but still
rather graphically looks like Halo to me, anyway.

 

From what I remember the only problem with the ranks were how it was being abused. People would create new accounts just to own the lower level players. Other than that the concept is great. It keeps people playing against others of their own skill range.

 

I also wonder if there will be a level cap for the days.

 

Halo 3 was a great system. Had your rank for ranked matches and rank for social matches. Halo 2 also featured a great ranking system.
