Will free Gold download replace existing game or add-on packs?

I see BattleField is free this month. I would like to download the free version and give away my purchased game to a friend that doesn't have an account. Will I loose my add-ons that I have purchased? Will the game just download what was normally running
on the DVD?

XBL free month code on top of existing gold account?

Does anyone know if using a 1 month free code just overlaps on an existing gold account or will it add an extra month to the end of your current subscription?

Free month of gold with a new 360?

So today I finally bought a new 360 to replace my RRoD one but I cant figure out how to get the free month of gold onto my existing live account. Anyone have any advice?

If you installed the game from an Xbox One game disc, you won't have to install it again when you claim it through Games With Gold. After installation from disc, the disc simply serves as the proof of purchase for the game. You can safely give the game
disc to a friend and you won't have to redownload the game just because you get it digitally.

However, keep this in mind. With Xbox One Games With Gold titles, if you decide to drop Gold, you won't be able to play the game. I think it's great you want to let your friend have your game, but I do want to make sure you know everything involved, too.

Add or Remove Xbox Live Gold Family Pack Members.

Here are just a few notes from that link;

Notes

Only the primary account can add a member (secondary account) to a Gold Family Pack. If you’re adding an existing account, you’ll need the Microsoft account and password of the account that you’re adding.
If the account that you want to add to your Family Pack is not stored on your console, you’ll need to download the Xbox LIVE gamertag.
Existing Xbox LIVE accounts keep all Microsoft Points and gamerscores when you add them to the Gold Family Pack.

After these notes there is a step-by-step guide.
