will doing this get me banned?

I was searching on google for Xbox One games that i stumbled upon a post from Reddit where they told others to buy games from other stores(by changing Xbox One region) because they're cheaper that way.

some said it can get you banned and others say Microsoft can also remove your existing games if you do it,

well my question is, will changing my region to buy cheaper games get me banned?

If you tried this, it won't work. Microsoft knows your physical location based on your IP address. If you changed to another region, Microsoft will know you're not actually there and will deny you the purchase. Even if it did let you purchase a game,
it would block the download.

If you attempt to use any proxy servers to get around region restrictions, you will most certainly be banned and any purchases you made will be forfeit. You may even have your console banned from accessing the Live service.

In short, DON'T DO IT.

It isn't so much as you typing the letter f it was your intention. While you may not of spelled it out, the devs were not born yesterday, they know what you meant and what you wanted to say and also that you were trying to dodge the system.

Being a respectful community comes automatically when you don't engage in disrespectful (re)actions yourself. You might file for an appeal through xbox enforcement, but I have to concur with many other responders:

Don't participate/respond to harmful / malicious conversations
Report and/or block these players, so as to exclude them in your play and/or that of fellow players of good intent.
