    Yes, it just has to be the same system.

    I bought Disney 2.0 base and it works fine with the digital download of 3.0.

    The reason 3.0 is available digitally and 2.0 wasn't

    Hi, there are no plans for the game to be digital. Mainly because the original Infinity Base from the 1st game is not compatible with the xbox one. The disc game only comes with the new base for the xbox one, so there is no point in releasing the game
    on the one digitally.

    Disney Infinity and John Vignocchi have officially announced the Disney Infinity: Toy Box 2.0 Edition Digital download will be coming November 4th.

    This was a post stating that Disney Infinity 1.0 users will be able to download a software upgrade allowing us to play version 2.0 playsets.

    I am struggling to find this update in the XBOX store. Will someone please assist.

    Hey guys, unfortunately the digital update that was announced is only for the 360, PS3, PS4 and WiiU

    You can read about that under Disney Infinity Start Pack Options

    If you would like to see if they can get an update for the digital download for the Xbox One then post in the Feedback Forums.
