Will Crackdown 3 Be The Joke Of This Years E3?

Like Goth, I have no interest in this game, but I do wonder how well it will be. MS certainly need it to be good.

Rumor has it that MS gave them more money and an extra year so hopefully that has helped make it better. They cannot announce another delay because that would kill all interest people may have.

Who knows, if it’s great then maybe I’ll try it.

I wouldn't call it a joke, nor should anyone who owns an Xbox, but Microsoft certainly need to do something to hype up the brand. This year's E3 is possibly more crucial than ever, given the amount of negative buzz that's SWIRLING (ha, that's so funny of
me - not!) around. Heck, even the latest format "exclusive" (um, do cross-play titles qualify as platform exclusives?), State of Decay 2 is currently sitting at #481 on Metacritic's all-time listing for Xbox.

That's a far cry from where it *needs* to be to garner goodwill and fervor among fans. For me personally, who was desperate to play Crackdown 3 LAST YEAR (before it got delayed again), it's become much less of a thing than it was. One can only hope the delay
has added more spice to the formula, but Microsoft's track record of late doesn't fill me with confidence. In fact, this year's E3 will probably be the first time I actively seek out Sony's press conference because that's where all the buzz and megaton announcements
will be happening.

Been stung *way* too many times by Microsoft's pre-E3 hype. C'est la vie.

So is Crackdown 3 still going to be using the awesome power of cloud computing?

For the single player side of the game no, which is what gameplay they showed off last year. This is why the E3 reveal last year got so much backlash, because people did zero research and just saw Crackdown 3 and said that it looked terrible because there
was no destructibility (even though there isn't any in the single player game)

The multiplayer side of the game is where the cloud is used, its used for all of the physics calculations required for the destruction in the game.

Weirdly we are already seeing something similar in a game already released, Sea of Thieves uses the cloud to compute all of the physics for the sea, and last time I checked that game looked stunning (its also a good laugh, but that's just my opinion)
