Will bungie use the new smart match making?

I for one am sick of games like Cod that just throw you into every match against anyone that's better than you. I hope that Bungie pulls another halo 3 out their amazing hats. Halo 3 was the best gaming experience I have ever had. I rarely ran into people
with more skill than myself. I would trade in the perks and customization for that any day, and then there was the map creator system, man there were talented people in those days. Now rank means nothing but how much time you put into the game instead of good
you really are. If other developers would make games with such servers as halo 3, you'd have more fun online instead of constant raging. Please don't let me down Bungie, and why do feel like the only one that cares.(also posted on Bungie)

Smart Match / Smart Match making

sorry but smart match is useless, it is preventing me from even finding one player on SR4. i have sat for up to an hour waiting for it to do something.....nope it just keeps searching. Smart match is single handedly the most useless pile of garbage microsoft
has ever produced.

Thanks for the answer, the way I read it was tht smart match was xbox one multi player. I didn't realise it was dependent on the developer. I would have thought it was mandatory if it was advertised... Thanks

 

Well matchmaking in Destiny is supposed to be constantly running in the background to always keep specific areas populated with adequate amounts of players without going overboard. I haven't heard more details than that on its functionality, but I would
assume it would atleast attempt to keep the matching to players at similar levels.

 

I agree that this is what made halo 3 great. But I also have complete faith in Bunige (makers of halo3) and in their abilities to provide a great match making experience.

That said, I also agree that the new age "ranks" are only based on progression, and not how good someone really is. It would be nice if they included some type of competitive ranking as well as the player progression system to provide the best matches.

 

No I'm with you on that one. I get tired of getting my butt kicked by players who are way more skilled then I am, or on the other hand slaughtering people that are below me. I think a true skill system like in Halo 3 would fix it and make it more competitive.
