Will backward Compatibility work with Xbox 360 Games with Gold?

I don't have a 360 but for last couple of months I have logged on to store via the web and selected "buy" with the XBOX 360 games that were free with gold for that month. Message then tells me, "Game will download when I log onto my 360"

So If it turns out that any of the free Games with Gold are launched as BC, will they automatically download to my XB1 does anyone know?

Backward Compateble

No. Controllers and accessories that work with Xbox 360 won't work with Xbox One (and vice versa). Also not all games are compatible, please check this link for available games as of now

When backward compatibility launches in November, all future Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be playable on Xbox One. That means Xbox Live Gold members now will get more free games to play each month on Xbox One.

They will be in your "Ready to install" list on your Xbox one, it's at the far right of your games & apps list.

AS LONG as the game is on the list.. if it does not make the BC list, then it wont play on the X1

Major Nelson mentioned on his podcast that they are working towards making sure the 360 games with gold make it to BC. At least that's how I heard it. I'm making sure I get them all anyways regardless.

Did we say yes? The answer is yes, defense grid was on gwg and it was most certainly in my install list.

If you mean the current Games with Gold game for the 360, it's actually an original Xbox game that is backwards compatible with the 360. In order for backwards compatibility to work on the 360, it requires an official MS brand 360 hard drive.

Game Pass Games are subscription based games, and only Backwards Compatible 360 games for the Xbox One work with Game Pass.

If you have Game Pass Ultimate, which includes Gold, you can keep the Games With Gold for Xbox 360. But with only Game Pass, you can't play any backwards compatible games on the 360, and on the Xbox One, the games stop working after your Game Pass trial
ran out.

So in short: No, you can't keep Game Pass Games, be it Xbox One or Xbox 360 games. And Game Pass doesn't work on original Xbox 360 consoles at all.
