Will an Xbox One work for me?

I'm thinking of getting an xbox one but it has to work remotely.

All my HT equipment is in a seperate room to,my TVs. Where I would be using the controller is approx 7m away but only the back of a chair inbetween. No walls or doors. Lots of WIFI.

The xbox would connect to the TV via HDMI/Cat6/HDMI. This works flawlessly for my foxtel boxes and Beyonwiz T4.

I guess what I need to know is

1. What is the range of the controllers?

2. To quote Sir Humphrey, do we forsee any other unforseen problems?

It should and will probably work well but I suggest getting a official brick from Microsoft just go be safe. The reason I say that as you don't know the quality or build within the brick it could short out or even damage your console. Especially as alot
of these types of things can be cheaply made reverse engineered copies. Just be sure to understand the risks and also be sure to check your warranties to be sure it doesn't void anything.

All good mate, I just tested my controller from 7m away and behind a wall and it works no problem. (that was just on the dashboard) I didnt try a game or an app but I see no reason why they wouldnt work.

I got trouble with mine too. XBOX ONE S seems pretty full of shiit as it's MS use cheap parts to build it (as each S version)

If they dont show up on console If you have xbox app on your phone and it's open in the background the notification actually will still show up on there and that's what I do in order to make sure I know I got my achievements

Are you online while playing these games? Some achievements won't update unless you're online. Sometimes signing in and out can help, I've had some pop that I got months previously when I've signed in and out.
