    Will an Australian DLC code work on a UK gamertag?


    I'm looking to pick up a game I missed at launch, its Day One Edition had some extra DLC with it but the only sellers I can find have Australian PAL copies. Would that work on my UK gamertag? Thanks in advance.

    Gears 3 Game Add On Code is Invalid

    no this is why you MUST purchase the game within your own region

    gears of war and halo games are region locked to the region that they were purchased in

    so therefore you MUST purchase an australian copy and use it within a australian account

    also you can purchase UK games anytime you want however

    ALL DLC codes are specific to the region they were purchased in and must be redeemed within that region this means UK dlc codes onto UK accounts



    australian DLC codes will only work in australian accounts

    if you got an region error and then tried to redeem it on a australian account it will come back as invalid as only Australian accounts can redeem australian codes

    Well I know the actual format of the game is PAL like we use & I know that you can redeem Australian PSN codes on UK IDs so I was hoping it would be possible.

    A google search shows lots of answers related to the exact same question for PSN but theres no Xbox related results that I can see.

    That's debatable. Some game downloads are region locked and may not be available to download in other countries. If you purchase this code you run the risk of not being able to use it.

    Yep if you want access to uk dlc

    Btw polish dlc codes will not work on uk accounts nor will uk codes work on polish accounts
