    I filled my 4 terabyte hard drive halfway with games and my 500 gigabyte xbox one kinda bit the dust (super slow, crashes instead of opening any app) oh well probably time to upgrade anyways. I ordered a new xbox one x, but im worried if i plug in that
    external hard drive it will kill the new xbox

    I have 2 8TB hooked into my Xbox One X which is the max you can go for external memory is 16TB total and mine is doing normal so I dont know or seen any crashes atball related to my hard drives

    No it will not kill your hard drive. Just make sure you get an external hard drive compatible with Xbox.

    Well I have to ask if it's self powered by an outlet or is powered by an outlet, I have seen hard drives not get detected due to lack of power given to them cause as they fill up the more power is required to run them. So I always suggest that they power
    themselves rather than be powered by a console. I wouldn't say it would kill a console though since it's priority is console is powered before any external sources like hard drives.
